Man having a mental health crisis in Japan sounds harsh, sending hugs to Sarah.

Gleefully read this whole thing like I was there myself. Eavesdropping in a coffee shop remains one of life’s simple joys.

i’ll never reveal my secrets (i recorded it on my phone like an absolute creep ngl lol, it was too beautiful of a conversation and my caffeine buzz was telling me i had to preserve this—names were changed tho at least)

Love this! I recently discovered a subreddit called Benign Existence, where people share wholesome experiences, but also A Lot of overheard conversations and they are all just delightful. Highly recommend!

Suggested spelling edit: gigolo.

No offense. As a retired writer and editor, I simply can’t help myself. 😉

I happened to write about eavesdropping myself this week, Griffin Blue – in my case a little girl with a worry about her name https://arichardson.substack.com/p/whats-in-a-name

Are most college students unable to complete a sentence without using the word "like" these days?

And saying "anyways" when "anyway" is the proper word. Isn't it? Drives me up a wall and get off my lawn! Lol

It’s a relief for me to know I’m not alone in my fascination with other people’s conversations. In fact, as I read this, I am sitting in the ER with my mom (for 9 hours so far) and listening to the people talking in the hallway. So happy to hear that the lady with the constipation is finally getting her enema after a very long day.

Why is this so appealing to me? is it an introvert thing as someone said in the comments? I'm in Greece, I only know a few words, and my favorite thing to do is to observe (without being creepy) and try to understand what people say. ---I loved this. Thanks.
